1982年発表Randy Goodrumの1stソロアルバムから4曲をお届けいたします。この1stアルバムの高い評価は何故か日本だけのものであると言われているが、、、、
ランディー・グッドラムといえば、スティーブ・ペリーやTOTO等へ楽曲提供しているソングライター。
TOTO「Fahrenheit」ではスティーブ・ルカサーと共作した[I'll Be Over You]「The Seventh One」からは[Anna]を提供した事を知られている方も多いのでは。
TOTOへ提供したバラードとはまた違い、リラックスした雰囲気の中にも極上のAORサウンドを満喫出来る。
スティーリー・ダンのエンジニアを担当したElliot Scheinerが共同プロデュースした事もあり、どこか「Aja」「Gaucho」やドナルド・フェイゲン「The Nightfly」のような上品さとクール感が繫がる。
ジェフは全10曲で参加。M2のハーフタイムシャッフルはジェフならではのグルーブを出している。パトカーのサイレンから始まるM6はアップテンポで、このアルバムで最も力強く演奏しており、サビのリフ、ブレイクのフィルイン等聴きどころが多い。
