One such revered shrine is the Dargah of Hazrat Syed Moosa Shah Qadri Baghdadi (RA), located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Nestled in the heart of the bustling Mount Road, this centuries-old Dargah has stood resilient through time, modernization, and even colonial rule. Hazrat Syed Moosa Shah Qadri Baghdadi (RA) is believed to have arrived from Baghdad Shareef in the mid-17th century and settled along the banks of the Coovam River, in what is now one of Chennai’s busiest areas. Renowned during his lifetime for his extraordinary healing powers, the saint was buried beside his home upon his passing.
His family later built a Dargah at the site, which has since evolved into a major spiritual center, drawing thousands who seek blessings, healing, and inner peace. The shrine’s spiritual and cultural significance was powerfully demonstrated during the British colonial era, when a British engineer ordered its demolition for road expansion. However, the Dargah withstood the attempt, symbolizing the resilience of faith and the deep reverence people held for the saint.

The show also contains interviews with theologists of repute to highlight the Sufi tradition as Kashmir’s way of life and how following Sufism teachings is better. The program also brings into focus the impact of Sufism on the life of Kashmiris, in Literature, crafts and culture.
