Mississauga's Celebration Square is one of the most popular destinations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for New Year's Eve celebrations, offering a vibrant and festive atmosphere for people of all ages. The square is transformed with live music, entertainment, food vendors, and exciting activities throughout the evening. Visitors can enjoy skating under the stars on the rink, often accompanied by festive music and a lively crowd. A variety of local food trucks and stands provide delicious treats to savor while taking in the celebrations. This year’s musical line-up featured Canadian icon Maestro Fresh Wes performing his kid’s album Young Maestro, followed by performances from DijahSB, hip-hop legend Shad, and Mississauga’s own AR Paisley. As midnight approaches, the square culminates in a spectacular fireworks show, lighting up the night sky and ushering in the new year.
