TV Nation was a satirical news magazine series written, co-produced, directed and hosted by Michael Moore. The first season was aired on NBC on Tuesday nights. This is season 1, episode 5, aired August 16, 1994, featuring these segments:
"TV Nation Day" - Moore celebrates "TV Nation Day" in Fishkill, New York.
"Millennium" - Correspondent Louis Theroux looks into four groups who believed the world would end in 2000.
"Get Ready for Prison Test" - An adviser prepares TV Nation viewers who may enter prison soon.
"Haulin" - Communism gets a "last tour" across America via an 18-wheeler with Communist insignia and merchandise, driving through the southern United States.
"Bosnia" - Moore visits the U.S. ambassadors to both Serbia and Croatia, trying to secure peace.
Technical: Recorded on a RCA VR671HF VHS VCR at EP speed with hi-fi sound on a BASF "Extra Quality" T-130 tape via a very average cable TV signal of WVTM 13 in Birmingham, Alabama. Picture adjustments made and upconverted to 1080p60. Includes commercials for maximum 90's nostalgia.
