Milo is a happy energetic puppy. He is also a very strong, dominant dog for such a little guy. He is built to be a leader or an alpha in his pack. Unfortunately, he can't be the leader nor any other dog with these tendencies. If left alone a dog like this will call all of the shots. Will do what he wants to do, And, he will test those that try to undermine his leadership and his wants. His owner needs to be that leader.

I believe the owner needs to become that leader. And, it really needs to be done early in life before these leadership attributes grow into a level that will take much more work. I promise if you do this, your dog will be happy and confident with the boundaries you establish. He will want to follow. He will love you even more than he does now.

Milo wants to learn and is extremely treat oriented. It is important that we utilize all forms of praise (encouraging words, touch, treat, toy and positive emotion) when training. We still provide consequence when needed but we are not here to intimidate, dominate, break his spirit, hurt him or have him fear you in the process. Consequence begins with a light touch with No ... followed by light praise when he does what we ask. Consistency and repetition are the rules of the day. He can still be a dog. He hust needs to know who leads the pack..
