Why do we write? Why do we read?

In a world full of noise, chaos, and emotional weight, stories give us somewhere safe to land. In this video, we talk honestly about how writing and reading help us cope with the outside world, process our emotions, and sometimes live the epic adventures we dream about when reality feels overwhelming.

For authors, writing can be healing, grounding, and deeply personal. For readers, stories offer escape, understanding, and connection. And often, the magic happens right in between. 🐉💜

We also talk about one of our favorite films, The Man Who Invented Christmas, and how beautifully it captures the way authors see, hear, and interact with their characters—through the story of Charles Dickens and the creation of A Christmas Carol. To this day, it remains one of the most accurate portrayals of the author’s creative mind.
