Another New Harvest on the Farm + Meet the Crew

It’s time for another new harvest on the farm! 🌱
We started the day in the sweet corn patch, picking two new trial varieties that I tested this season. Big ears, easy to snap, and great flavor — but very tall stalks compared to others we currently grow. While getting the corn packed in the barn, I asked the crew a few questions about their experiences this season so you can finally meet the people behind the harvest.

This week we also began picking from our third and final zucchini and cucumber patch — it came on a full week early, and once they’re ready, there’s no holding them back. With the whole crew out in the field, we got them harvested quickly so we could get moving onto the next job.

We also grabbed one bin of seedless watermelons for the mobile produce trailer before wrapping up the day, and I gave an update on our second trailer that’s headed to the Honda R&D market. Hard to believe there’s only one more trip left this season — time is flying!

And for the truck fans… I also shared a look at my old 1991 GMC farm truck that’s been with me for 29 years. The driveshaft twisted in half, and I asked if anyone has ever driven in 4WD to limp a truck to the shop. Lots of comments already on that one!
