The French Revolution was a revolution in France from 1789 to 1799. It led to the end of the monarchy, and to many wars. King Louis XVI was executed in 1793. The revolution ended when Napoleon Bonaparte took power in November 1799.

During this period, French citizens razed and redesigned their country’s political landscape, uprooting centuries-old institutions such as absolute monarchy and the feudal system. The upheaval was caused by widespread discontent with the French monarchy and the poor economic policies of King Louis XVI, who met his death by guillotine, as did his wife Marie Antoinette. Although it failed to achieve all of its goals and at times degenerated into a chaotic bloodbath, the French Revolution played a critical role in shaping modern nations by showing the world the power inherent in the will of the people.

फ़्रांसिसी क्रान्ति फ्रांस में १७८९ से १७९९ के बीच में हुई थी । इस क्रान्ति के वजह से राजा लुइ १६ का राज ख़तम हो गया और फ़्रांसिसी गणतंत्र की स्थापना हुई । ये क्रान्ति १७९९ में ख़तम हुई जब नेपोलियन बोनापार्ट ने फ्रांस की सर्कार का तख्ता पलट कर दिया । जानिये फ़्रांसिसी क्रान्ति की पूरी खानी जिज्ञासियम के इस वीडियो में
