In this episode of Kasper On BI we’re talking about agentic AI for Business Intelligence. Agentic development brings AI agents into the BI workflow—helping Power BI developers automate repetitive tasks, orchestrate complex changes, and plug safely into enterprise tools like Microsoft Fabric. As this technology is still in early stages we will talk about why it is important to really think about what you are doing and where to start. Also to make sure you teach or train the model to do the right things and don't blindly trust it.
Today’s guest is Kurt Buhler, Power BI specialist and author of the recent SQLBI article on agentic development for BI. Together we’ll walk through real scenarios—from augmented chat to coding agents and asynchronous agents—and discuss what’s possible right now, what’s emerging, and how to get started safely in your own environment.
Your host is Kasper de Jonge, Principal Program manager on the Fabric team at Microsoft.
