First Time Shooting M1 Garand

My dad did weapons qualification with the M1 Garand during Basic Military Training in 1960. He saw one of the very first M-16s on a table while in service. He thought it was a toy gun. I did weapons qualification with an M-16 during my own Basic Military Training. I recorded my son taking his first shots with the M1, which the receiver dates back to January 1945. My dad was two years old at the time. The barrel and stock is brand new. I had only received the rifle from the Civilian Marksmanship Program the night before, and had a total of 24 rounds run through the rifle prior to the video. I'll have to break it in some more in due time.
