On 19th of December 2021, We have made a trip to Rangtse Nye or Lime stone cave from Thimphu. Along with Sonam, we started a drive from Thimphu at 7:00 am early winter morning towards the cave. We drive from Thimphu to Paro valley, we cross via Chelela Pass (4000 meters) and drive down to Haa valley, continued our drive towards another pass called Tergola Pass which also means treasure pass and cross Sombeykha village, located very close to the lime stone cave.
The Total time taken to reach Rangtse Nye: 6hours and 30 minutes
Best suggested route: Thimphu - Paro - Chelela Paa - Haa valley - Tergola Pass - Sombeykha Village - Rangtse Nye
Road Condition: Functional (2021 December)
Best Time to visit: October, November, February and March
