The Rhein railway (Rheinbahn) is one of the buisiest train lines in Germany as it is the main frieght connection between Germany and Switzerland. After Rastatt the line merges into the Rhein Valley railway (Rheintalbahn), which reaches the swiss border.
The intensity of the traffic here can be seen in the video, which was made in the time interval of only two hours between Friedrichstal and Graben-Neudorf. The average time between two trains was approx. 4-5 minutes.
