Hiking a loop trail at the end of the Palolo Valley in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawai'i on a usually very wet and muddy trail that leads up to the Koʻolau Mountain ridge. This time the walk up the Palolo stream with its many waterfalls and water cascades ended at the Ka'au crater (geologically classified as a tuff cone). The ridge trail on the west side of the valley was used to return and to finish the loop.
