We pride ourselves in having seen more of bonnie wee Scotland than more Scots have - after living there for a few years and traveling the quite small country extensively, I often lovingly say we would know every tree by name, because it feels like it! BUT one island we haven't been too, and it's been recommended to us so many times, and that is the Isle of Arran. Located on the west coast of Scotland, it is also referred to as Scotland in Miniature, and it really is! The highlands in the north, lowlands in the south, and a whole lot of beautiful sea all around it. We took out or trusty green tent once more for some wild camping, and explored it all ourselves - including some wild swimming!
