I was asked to work on designing and building an Altar, Pulpit, and Baptismal Font for the Trinity United Methodist Church sanctuary in Sequim, WA. The pieces involve veneered bent laminated panels as well as conventional construction techinques. In addition to my usual woodworking tools, I used DesignCAD 3D Max to make drawings and renderings and was also able to incorporate Vectric Aspire software and the ShopBot Desktop CNC machine in making the carvings in the pieces. This fourth video documents preparing the veneers for making the laminations for the sides of the Altar and Pulpit. Follow on videos will document all the additional processes.
