Rare film from 1965 on the last few days of Griffith Stadium in Washington which has been abandoned since the last season for the Washington Senators in 1961. Jim Simpson host this rare documentary from Griffith Stadium on the eve of the demolition of the stadium and includes interview with Senator legend Sam Rice as they look back of the games played at Griffith Stadium including the 1924 and 1933 World Series which includes some 1933 Film Highlights and an Interview with Clark Griffith reflecting on the Presidential Openers (presidents who thew out the first pitch over the years at Griffith Stadium) including Teddy Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, Woodrow Wilson and JFK
Includes rare 1933 World Series clips and clips of NFL days at Griffith Stadium and the Washington Redskins vs Chicago Bears in the 40s.
Recorded and Digitalized off a 3/4 studio tape and has been recently restored and remastered
