Laona & Northern: Summer Cowboy Days 2022 (The Robbery)

Decided to cut it shorter....

The Laona & Northern Railway is a short train ride that operates out of Laona, WI. The Train is pulled by historic Vulcan built 2-6-2 Prairie type #4 (nicknamed "The 4 SPOT"). The 4 SPOT was built in 1916 by Vulcan Iron Works and was delivered to the L&N in 1926. The L&N was a railroad owned by Conner Forest Industries. The L&N had connections with the Soo Line and the Chicago & North Western. In 1965, the Laona & Northern had opened up an excursion passenger train ride called "The Lumberjack Special". Since then, many things have happened to the L&N, including being established with a National Register of Historic Places. To this day, the 4 SPOT still runs the Lumberjack Steam Train, being the only operating locomotive at the Camp 5 Museum and the only operating coal burning 2-6-2 in the world.
