Hi! I'm Jiyoon, I've been working over 10 years as a pro bassist!
I've got experience as a session recording player, in live performances, and as a bass teacher.
For recording, I'll combine my experience and your vision to deliver my best work!

I've graduated from Seoul Arts University, as a bass major. It's the top-ranking school for musicians, vocalists and performers in South Korea.
As I was my class' Valedictorian, I got many opportunities to record with top producers even before graduation. I recorded for radio stations, played live for popular artists, and got to meet top ranking professionals in the industry.

During my military service, I was selected to be part of the National Police Arts group. It's an extremely selective group to play in, as I had to be auditioned against all musics students in my University.
In this group, we were expected to play all genres of music, e.g. Rock, Funk, Pop, Martial music...
This opportunity allowed me to tour all over South Korea, promote the image of police to the population, or play during official performances / visits.

After those 2 years, I joined a rock band as a bassist. I was also involved in songwriting and producing. I toured during a year around Korea, performed in festivals, did some busking, and we released albums.

With my songwriting experience, I released a solo album in 2015. I managed everything from writing, recording (I recorded all bass, guitar, vocals), producing for this release. This album was more of the ballad-type music, a totally new genre for me.

Ever since, I've been a session bass player for Korean top ranking artists, and working as a bass teacher on the side.
These days, I'm also focusing more on the technical aspect of things... this knowledge has allowed me to better understand my own body, playing techniques, and the differences between bass brands / models.

All that being said, I'm confident we can work together and create beautiful music.
It's my goal to create good around me (my album was titled "beautiful person")... I really want to exchange with you, learn something new, and make your vision into reality!
