How to repair a cracked plastic truck topper skirt

The plastic trim piece at the bottom of the rear hatch on this Leer pickup truck topper, (cap, camper shell) is cracked. I have been unable to find any source where we can buy a replacement, so I will repair it. The best way to fix a piece of cracked plastic is with an electric plastic repair tool. It uses metal staples, which are heated up[ and sunk into the plastic, bridging the crack and creating structural support. This video shows the full repair process from start to finish.
