Tips to help your tulips last longer

Who else is thinking of SPRING 🌷
Tulips will bring spring into your home.
Here are some tips to help your them last longer.
•buy them closed to assure they’re fresh.
•Snip the bottoms diagonally at least 1/2 inch.
•remove the leaves that will rest below the waterline to avoid rot.
•make a pin hole just below each flower.. it allows air to escape and water to move up the stem.
•tulips love shallow cold water so add a few ice cubes.
•replace the water daily and add an old copper penny. (before 1982) It acts as a fungicide to naturally kill bacteria.
•also trim a bit off the bottom each day
Keep them in a cool place away from direct sun and your tulips will stay beautiful longer🌷💐 #tulips #care #spring
