A constant in farming is being able to pivot to solve new problems that crop up.
This weed is called Mayweed and it's a noxious weed in my area. Spreads by seed and relatively easy to pull. Also in the same family as ragweed and sort of related to chamomile, although it's definitely not. Unfortunately, it's also possible to develop an allergy to it... which means a bad contact rash and that's where I'm at currently.
The solution? We've been spending as many hours as possible pulling every plant we can out before it goes to seed and I'm thrilled that we're FINALLY getting really close to having it almost eradicated from our property. I know it will be a couple years before we fully get rid of it due to seeds etc, but most of it is now gone and unable to spread by seeds.
As I've been working on moving my field back to low/no-till, I also won't be tilling up any more seeds that might be buried in the ground which will also really lessen it.
For the paths that have a lot of it in it: I'm covering them with landscape fabric for this season to kill them off and will move back to cover cropped pathways next year. Spraying herbicides isn't an option for me so this was the most reasonable solution to a less-than-ideal circumstance.
