BEST SHINY RAID DAY LUCK OF MY LIFE 😳 Shadow Raikou Takeover!

In this Pokémon GO vlog, I cover Shadow Raikou Raid Day, one of the most exciting & rewarding raid events in the game. Shadow Raikou is one of the top Electric-type attackers, making this a must-play event for anyone looking to strengthen their raid teams or chase extremely rare Shadow Pokémon. For three hours, every gym featured Shadow Raikou raids, creating a fast-paced, nonstop grind from start to finish.

I teamed up with my local Ambassador community to take down as many Shadow Raikou raids as possible, coordinating routes & moving efficiently to maximize encounters. Our goals were ambitious, hunt for a hundo Shadow Raikou or the ultimate dream: a purifiable Shundo. Every raid felt meaningful, & the energy stayed high as we moved together along the Deschutes River, making the grind both productive & scenic.

This Raid Day took place during a Team GO Rocket Takeover, which added an extra layer of fun & chaos. Rocket Grunts and Leaders were appearing more frequently, meaning there was always something to do between raids. Whether it was battling Rockets, checking IVs, or jumping straight into the next raid lobby, the gameplay never slowed down.

What truly made this event unforgettable was the shiny luck. During in-person raids, I experienced the best raid-day shiny luck of my life, hitting an approximate 1-in-5 shiny rate. That kind of luck is almost unheard of, & the reactions throughout the vlog are genuine, hype-filled, and nonstop. With an increased chance of encountering Shiny Shadow Raikou, every encounter brought real excitement.

The event bonuses made grinding even more rewarding. Raids awarded an increased chance of Rare Candy XL, 50% more XP, and 2× Stardust, turning each successful raid into a huge payout. These bonuses stacked perfectly with the community-driven nature of the event, making every raid feel worth the effort.
