Kia’s 2024 and 2025 Sorento refreshes refine the exterior, drawing inspiration from the brand’s larger SUVs. The updated front design features a more rugged, blocky appearance with a wider grille and vertically stacked headlights, blending strength with simplicity. Our test model, finished in Volcanic Sand with a gray interior and 19-inch alloy wheels, offers a striking mix of elegance and boldness.
Inside, new digital displays enhance the cabin’s premium feel, though the dashboard remains somewhat cluttered. The PHEV’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, paired with a 66.9-kW electric motor, delivers 261 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, along with 32 miles of electric-only range. A refined suspension offers a smooth ride, though hybrids do exhibit more road noise. We spent a week with the $54,690 PHEV SX-Prestige AWD.
