Gary Numan | The Touring Principle HD | 02 M.E.

This is the second part of my project to remaster 'The Touring Principle' into a cleaned up HD edition. As its source it uses the 2009 DVD release which has been upscaled to 1080p HD.
'M.E.' is the second song from the original Touring Principle film and the fourth song performed that night. (For some inexplicable reason the preceding song 'Cars' wasn't filmed - or at least no footage of it has surfaced). Despite there being several film cameras in attendance, 'M.E.' was filmed with just one camera in wide shot and the footage runs out before the song finishes leaving a black screen for the last 30 seconds. On the original VHS release this was covered up using slow motion and an overdose of digital effects. In his version, I have filled in the last 30 seconds by reusing a couple of shots. I think it works OK. Again I have gone through the footage frame by frame and painted out hundred of instances of dirt and speckles.
This is an ongoing labour of love and I'll be uploading each song as I clean it up. I am not monitising these videos, they are just made by one fan for other fans to enjoy.
