The Pagani Huayra Roadster stands as a marvel of engineering, boasting a top speed that reaches an astounding 383 km/h (238 mph). This incredible hypercar is not just about straight-line speed; it also excels in acceleration, with the ability to sprint from 0 to 97 km/h (60 mph) in a mere 2.8 seconds. This exceptional performance is partly thanks to the specially crafted Pirelli tyres, which enable the Huayra to achieve an impressive 1.66 g of lateral acceleration, ensuring that it grips the road with unparalleled stability even at high speeds.

At the heart of the Pagani Huayra's engineering excellence is a seven-speed sequential gearbox paired with a single-disc clutch. Pagani's decision to opt for this setup, instead of a dual-clutch transmission, was driven by the desire to maintain an optimal weight-to-performance ratio. A dual-clutch system, while offering faster gear changes, would have added over 70 kg to the car’s weight, thereby diminishing any potential benefits. As a result, the transmission system in the Huayra weighs a finely-tuned 96 kg, striking a balance between performance and efficiency.

Braking power in the Pagani Huayra is provided by Brembo, a brand synonymous with high-performance braking systems. The car is equipped with Brembo brake calipers, rotors, and pads, ensuring top-notch stopping power. The front calipers are fitted with six pistons, while the rear calipers feature four pistons, allowing for precise and powerful braking. The drilled carbon-ceramic rotors are substantial, measuring 380 mm (15.0 in) in diameter and 34 mm (1.3 in) in thickness, providing both durability and exceptional heat dissipation during intense driving conditions.

Powering the Huayra is the same formidable twin-turbocharged M158 V12 engine found in its coupé counterpart. However, this engine has been further refined to deliver a staggering 764 PS (562 kW; 754 hp) at 6,200 rpm and a massive 1,000 N⋅m (738 lbf⋅ft) of torque at just 2,400 rpm. This immense power is channeled to the rear wheels through a 7-speed automated manual transmission engineered by Xtrac, which now incorporates a sophisticated hydraulic and electronic activation system alongside carbon synchronizers for smoother and more responsive gear changes.

In collaboration with Bosch, Pagani has integrated an advanced ECU system that enhances the car’s overall performance and drivability. The Roadster version of the Huayra has been meticulously engineered to be lighter than the coupé, a rare achievement in the automotive world. Weighing in at just 1,280 kg (2,820 lb), the Roadster is a full 70 kg (154 lb) lighter, making it the first roadster in history to be lighter than its coupé counterpart. This remarkable feat contributes to the car’s agility and performance, solidifying its status as a masterpiece of modern automotive design.

The Pirelli P-Zero tyres, specially designed for the Huayra, feature a distinctive white narrow outline reminiscent of Formula 1 race cars, underscoring the car’s racing heritage and performance capabilities. Pagani has also innovated with the materials used in the construction of the Roadster, introducing a new material known as carbon triax. This advanced material combines tri-axis fiberglass with carbon-fibre power bands, offering exceptional strength and rigidity while minimizing weight.

With only 100 units of the Pagani Huayra Roadster being produced, exclusivity is guaranteed.
