In an eloquent and inspiring talk, Patterson discusses the plight facing African American males and how the Black Male Initiative is making a difference in the lives of these young men.
Originally from Jersey City, New Jersey, Carl Patterson recently graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in December 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He intends on continuing his education by pursuing a M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Child Play Therapy. Carl is a licensed claims adjuster and an active member in the community. He is also a member of the Black Male Initiatives and Fellows program at UCO which primary goal is to aid young African American men in becoming successful academically, professionally, and socially.
