Born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, she broke barriers early—earning a scholarship to study engineering and becoming the only woman in her class of 45, eventually graduating with a degree in electrical engineering.
But her ambition didn’t stop there. Fueled by personal experience—her two younger siblings were born with cleft lip—she is now pursuing a medical degree with the goal of becoming a maxillofacial surgeon. Her advocacy focuses on access to cleft lip and craniofacial care for children in underserved communities.
