How does the new Superman compare to the 1950s Superman?

In this review of Superman 2025 I compare the new James Gunn movie to the classic movies starring Christopher Reeve and the classic TV version from the 1950s starring George Reeves. I also take a look at whether or not the criticisms of the movie are legitimate.

I look at the criticism of the possibility of the insertion of politics into the movie, and I give my opinion on the presentation of Krypto the Superdog and Supergirl. I address, quickly, the monkey at the typewriter scene everyone is talking about.

David Cornswet does a great job acting, but the question I look at is what kind of Superman does he portray such as his commitment to protecting life and I look at how Superman's Kryptonian and Earthly parents are presented.

I also give my opinion on the bottom line which is whether or not the new movie is fun to watch or not and a couple of things that I wished were in the movie related to the American way.
