Originally aired on Friday evening, January 10, 1986 on WDIV in Detroit, Michigan. WDIV was and still is the NBC affiliate in Detroit, Michigan.
On this particular evening, WDIV paid tribute to Elvis Presley the week of what had been his 51st birthday. The station aired a rebroadcast of his "Aloha from Hawaii" concert originally recorded in 1973. Repackaged here as "Elvis' Greatest Concert - Detroit Remembers" it was hosted by radio personality Jim Harper.
This upload is all of the interview segments of one of Elvis' backup singers Kathy Westmoreland that ran in and out of commercials throughout the broadcast. Some of the graphics and teasers are also included.
