For sale is a 1967 Deserter Buggy located in our Indianapolis showroom. The Deserter kit cars were produced by the Dearborn and Autodynamics Corporation in the late 1960's and early 1970's and were designed to fit on a VW chassis. They produced three different versions over that time span, the S1, GT, and GS models. This particular Deserter is a GT model that was advertised as an "all-new, all weather" buggy which incorporated a hardtop design that not only has a sports car feel on the road but is also fit for an off-road adventure. This Deserter is equipped with the optional gull-wing door hardtop that not only gives it a cool look but keeps inclement weather out as well. The GT design also brought about a few new body changes that included: molded in headlights, a curved windshield, and great looking side tanks that separated itself from the typical buggy design of its time. This 1967 Deserter Buggy is powered by its recently rebuilt 1600cc 4 Cylinder engine and is backed by a 4-Speed Manual Transmission.
