I was in two mind's about going to Baylis pool with it being the pool's first day of the year fishing... I decided to have a drive around the pool just to see what was available, if any, and there were loads of pegs. I got to the pool for around midday. It was extremely cold, so I wasn't expecting to catch anything. I just wanted to try out some of my new fishing bits out. I was totally expecting to blank. A carp would just be a bonus.
