The day has finally come... I bought a Rolex from an authorized dealer! This is my dream watch: the Rolex Explorer 36mm two tone featuring oystersteel and 18k yellow gold. First released in the Spring of 2021, this two tone version ref. 214273 adds for the first time precious metal to a timeless design that boasts a meaningful history. The explorer line was first produced in 1953 following the first summit of Mount Everest and ever since then has been a staple tool watch in Rolex's lineup. The MSRP of this watch currently as of May 2025 is $13,200 which is on par with most two tones. I was fortunate enough to get this from my local dealer without wait and it appears to be the last one in the current stock. I'm not sure how many people feel the same way about this model but the fact that I fell in love with it at first sight four years ago means something for sure.
