Festival Planet Brno 2024 😲🪐 🇨🇿 Huge Astronomical bodies | Voyage through the universe 🌓☄️

Believe it with your own eyes at this astonishing exhibition of huge inflatable models of celestial bodies – the Lunalon, Terralon, Marsmelon, Heliosfer and the Temnalon (an enormous nighttime Earth).

Festival planet Brno takes place usually in every summer, two random weeks of July & August, in the park at Kraví hora.

Visitors can also look forward to lectures and universe-themed outdoor cinema events, with exhibitions and shows at the digitarium.

The Brno Planets Festival was created in 2019 as an unobtrusive commemoration of the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon. It quickly became the signature event, the most successful in terms of audience, but also the most organizationally complex event of the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. In 2020, a model of the planet Earth – Terralón was added to Lunalón, followed by Marsmeloun (2021), Heliosphere (2022), Temnalón (2023) and Astrosphere (2024). The festival is organized by the Brno Observatory and Planetarium and the artistic group VISUALOVE, with the contribution of the statutory city of Brno and the South Moravian Region. Kubíček Visionair, the city district of Brno-střed, the Transport Company of the City of Brno, the Municipal Police of Brno, SAKO, the Kraví hora Recreational and Sports Complex, Teplárny Brno and Technology Park Brno are also participating in it. Media cooperation was offered by KAM for Culture, National Geographic Czech Republic, Regional Publishing House and SNIP & Co.
