This project aims to build on the existing cycle infrastructure on the Old Dublin Road with the provision of segregated cycle tracks and footpaths over a length of c.2.8km. This will provide improved connectivity along and across the Old Dublin Road and will also result in a much-improved environment for Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs) through reduction in car dominance, achieved by re-purposing existing carriageway space for Active Travel infrastructure and reducing the speed of vehicles in the project area.
