I was in an underground photography hide when two lionesses brought their cubs to drink right in front of me.
Tamboti Overnight Hide at Zimanga Private Game Reserve, South Africa, has a one-way glass window that separates photographers and the animals that come and drink there. I sat alone in the hide from about 4pm until 5am the following morning, when all of a sudden this lion pride appeared out of nowhere.
Even though they couldn't see me, you can see that they are aware of my presence. If will go down as one of the best lion encounters I've ever seen and filmed in the wild.
