In aviation, frequency supply determines service quality: How about flight distances? They matter!

Economics of Transportation (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal...) has recently published a Special Issue on Airline Economics (https://www.sciencedirect.com/special.... Tiziana D'Alfonso, Sapienza Università di Roma, and Xavier Fageda, Universitat de Barcelona, have been the guest editors.

Ricardo Flores-Fillol's paper has been included in this Special Issue (co-author Xavier Fageda). Ric (Universitat Rovira i Virgili ) and I, Achim I. Czerny (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University), introduce the motivation for his analysis as well as the main results.

This is a part of a series of podcasts in which individual contributions to the special issue will be discussed in more detail. This series of podcasts is a service to those of you who may not have the time to read the papers but are still interested in getting to know the main results!
