It took us long enough to finally have a day to go find some trains and be out trackside for the first of many to come this year. Even though it was very cold, this was the only chance we took since the weather forecast calls for more cold temperatures here in the Chicagoland area. We made a trip to Deerfield, Illinois along the Milwaukee District North Line where we encountered various Metra, Amtrak, and Freight Trains as well. Our next planned trip is still listed in one of our previous posts so until the weather starts to slightly warm up, we have another day to go back trackside.
