We exit Yosemite National Park east on Tioga Road (also known as Highway 120), overlooking Mono Lake, and then turn south on US-395 - Eastern Sierra Scenic Byway, passing through picturesque towns like Lee Vining and Mammoth Lakes. We then turn onto CA-136 and CA-190, which take us directly into Death Valley National Park.

The scenic drive covers approximately 160 miles (260 km) and takes about 2 ½ hours without stops. Along the way, you’ll experience dramatic changes from alpine scenery to the stark desert beauty of Death Valley.
