We set sail and leave Gran Canaria with the ARC + Rally and head south approx 850 nautical miles to Mindelo - Cape Verde. We could have had a better start... if left to us we would have left a couple days later for calmer conditions, especially with Alfie's mum onboard on her first ocean passage! But instead we decided to leave with the rally, dropped our tech gear a few times, was sea sick a few times and heard about breakdowns going on on other ARC boats! It was a little manic but at least the Sea God's rewarded us in the end ... 🐠 🐟 🐡 finally! 🙈
