Covers how to conduct a Chi-square goodness of fit test in SPSS.
Uses the hypothetical example: assume we have a class of 26 students, and 19 of those students are members of a fraternity. We consider two null hypotheses:
1) All categories equal: What is the probability that our sample came from a population with equal numbers of fraternity members and independents?
2) No difference from a known population: If we know that 60% of our students are in fraternities, what is the probability that our sample is a typical (i.e. representative) sample?
