Young Thug Judge Gets Mad at Prosecutor For Being Unprepared During Trial

Judge Paige Whitaker, presiding over the Young Thug trial, criticized prosecutor Adriane Love, expressing frustration with what she perceived as Love's lack of organization and preparedness. Whitaker stated, “It seems like you’re just throwing this trial together as you go.” Earlier on Monday, tensions escalated between Whitaker and Love when the judge denied motions and requests for a mistrial.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
