We literally just got our hands on the new Creaform HandySCAN 3D | EVO Series, and we couldn't wait to take it home for a test drive.
Since we didn't have a complex engine block lying around on a Tuesday night, we improvised! We grabbed a standard frypan, quickly whipped up a 3D model using Scan-To-CAD PRO, and put the EVO to the test.
The verdict? We are blown away. The speed, simplicity, and "plug-and-play" nature of this device are incredible. Even with a dark shiny surface and a quick setup, the data capture was flawless.
