Autopia - Disneyland, California - Full 4K POV

Autopia has been around since Disneyland's opening day in 1955, making it one of the park's original attractions. Back then, it was a glimpse into the future of transportation, a time before the interstate highways we know today.

Initially lacking center guardrails, the early Autopia resembled a friendly demolition derby! Thankfully, Disney Imagineering quickly added guardrails to ensure a smoother ride.

For younger drivers, a gentler experience arrived in 1956 with the Fantasyland Autopia. This mirrored version of the Tomorrowland ride offered a less intense option for families with little ones. Although it closed in 1992, the Fantasyland Autopia remains a fascinating piece of park history.

Autopia has consistently embraced change. Car designs have evolved over the years, reflecting changing automotive styles. Sponsorships have also kept the ride fresh, with brands like Richfield Oil and Honda partnering with Disney.
