It's often said that Bach's oldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann, inherited his genius. I have no doubts. Of all Bach-sons that became musicians, WF is the only one to continue using his father's contrapunctal style, while combining elements from the recent Classic and Rococo tendencies.
WF wrote genial pieces for harpsichord and organ. His concertos for harpsichord show the contrapunctal form of the Baroque and more dissonantic harmonic styles.
