Christmas Prague is charming! Today, on our walking tour, we will move along the tram lines from Republic Square towards Wenceslas Square, bypassing the Masaryk Railway Station and Jindřišská Street.
The Prague tramway network is the largest tram network in the Czech Republic, consisting of 142.4 km (88.5 mi) of the track, 882 tram vehicles (one of the largest fleets in the world)[5], and 26 daytime routes, 2 historical and 9-night routes with a total route length of 518 km (322 mi). It is operated by Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy a.s., a company owned by the City of Prague. The Prague tram system (including the Petřín funicular) served 373.4 million passengers in 2018, the highest number in the world after Budapest. Prague's first horsecar tram line was opened in 1875, and the first electric tram ran in 1891.
Prague Masaryk Railway Station (colloquially Masaryčka) is (after the demolition of Těšnov Railway Station) one of the last impassable terminals, the main railway stations in Prague used for passenger transport, primarily regional from the eastern and northern directions. Its buildings address Hybernská 1014/13 and Havlíčkova 1028/5 in Prague's New Town. Historically, it is the first steam railway station in Prague. The railway station and track location were designed in 1842 by Jan Perner, the building by architect Antonín Jüngling; they were built by Vojtěch Lanna and the Klein brothers in 1844 1845 as part of the Prague – Olomouc line. Near the railway station on the former technical and technical premises, a modern administrative and commercial center is being planned according to the project of the British architect Zaha Hadid. It is to be the construction of several houses and partial roofing of the track, which will connect the Náměstí Republiky and Florence area with Žižkov and, at the same time, create a new connection between the eastern ends of the platforms with these areas and the Florenc bus station with metro C. A new square will be made in front of Masaryk railway station exits from metro B. Prague Masaryk Railway Station will also be the final station of the planned railway connection to Václav Havel Airport and further to Kladno.

Jindřišská Street in New Town in Prague is a link between Wenceslas Square and Senovážné Square. Named after the Church of the Holy Merchant and the Holy Kitchen with halves of the 14th century, The peculiarity of the street is that it passes between this church and the associated bell tower. The Tram Line runs along with it, which continues in the middle of Wenceslas Square on Vodičkova Street. At the other end, it opens into the track triangle on Senovažné náměstí.
