**TACTICAL FIREARMS TRAINING**

So, with a role I have landed and other ones I intend to land, I sought the amazing team at @_trinityfox1 to help me understand the unbelievable importance of understanding and implementing basic safety of using a pistol or rifle on set.

When the role gets closer I will consult and work with these guys again 1-1 as they provide actors, production companies, producers/writers/directors and stunt professionals with the knowledge they need to be safe and convincing on set whatever their needs are.

It was an intense course provided by ex Met Police, Special Forces and International Firearms experts and is a pass/fail course. Yes, I passed!

One of the instructors is a Tier 1 SF officer (only the UK and USA have Tier 1). From familiarisation with weapons to safety, safety (did I mention safety?!!!) to dynamic search and entry, handcuffing, safety arrest, taser and restraint procedures (and so much more) I got what I need to prepare me for the next round where I will be working 1-1…..when that time comes.

Every actor on set working with weapons need this training and these guys are certified and recognised in the industry having already worked with teams of actors, production teams, directors and producers of major film and BBC dramas both in the classroom and on set to ensure everything is transcribed to a set environment.

They can prepare for roles such as Police Officer, Detective (uniform, armed/unarmed), Military, Assassin, Royal and Diplomatic Officers, Specialist Firearm Officer, and Counter Terrorist roles.
