We have made it to the 65th Street float bridge in Sunset Park in Brooklyn, where we see our already loaded barge as it awaits our arrival. We now cast our lines to the barge itself as we prepare to tow it over to Greenville Yard in New Jersey. Watch the crew of the boat as they tie lines onto the pleats of the barge and make good use of the capstan in the back. Once everything is tied on to the boat, the crew on shore (who belong to NY/NJ) helps to separate the barge from the float bridge, including lifting the float bridge. We then head back into the wheelhouse, where we see Jim Brown call the Traffic channel, which is tied to the harbor, to let them know how big the size of our movement is, as well as that we are ready to move. The Traffic dispatcher then tells us we will encounter one tug and barge in the Bay Ridge Anchorage, but that we wouldn't have any other real impediments. Enjoy the sight of the work that is done in preparation for moving the barge, as well as the sounds of the boat and the conversation had by our captain and the Traffic dispatcher.
