In this particular form the E46 chassis appeared to me to be overhyped and underperforming. However this car was meant for a whole new era of BMW drivers it was the ushering in of some of the more affordable bmws. That statement is more and more true now because you can pick up a nice example for less than 10 grand. It’s a fantastic convertible which has more of a road presence than I ever realized.
