WATCH | Amish mother Ruth Miller faces bond hearing in Atwood Lake murder of 4-year-old son

An evidentiary hearing is set for this afternoon in the case of Ruth Miller, the Amish woman accused of multiple charges in the death of her 4-year-old son at Atwood Lake last month.

Specifically, today's hearing in Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court will determine whether bail for Miller should be established.

Miller, the 40-year-old from Millersburg, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to a seven-count indictment after the deaths of her husband and four-year-old son at Atwood Lake during the weekend of Aug. 23-24. The charges include:

1 count of aggravated murder of her four-year-old son, citing prior calculation and design
1 count of murder related to her son
1 count of felonious assault related to her son
1 count of child endangering involving her 15-year-old daughter
3 counts of domestic violence affecting her 15-year-old daughter and two adult sons, ages 18
