The Benin Royal Court has concluded plans with the National Commission for Museums and Monuments to establish an ultramodern international standard Benin Royal Museum. It will house Benin Bronzes and other artefacts for the purpose of preserving history, tourism and education.details.The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has appointed the Chairman of THISDAY Group and ARISE News Channel, Prince Nduka Obaigbena; Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, among others as Trustees of the proposed Royal Museum in Benin. The Oba of Benin made this known during a visit to president Buhari at the presidential villa.
